Role: Candidate is an outstanding prep cook with significant culinary experience who will lead prep and catering operations for the restaurant. The candidate will demonstrate a hands-on approach to recipe implementation, preparation techniques, food quality, consistency & safety. The catering lead component of the job oversees catering order execution & quality control and ‘sees’ the jobs out door. Duties: Food preparation, cooking Maintain high-performance standards Be point person for catering orders / oversee production and presentation for catering jobs Contribute positively to culture Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen Assist in kitchen and dry storage organization Qualities: Knowledgeable of all kitchen operations (line, expo, prep & catering) A Positive leader Excellent communication skills - bilingual preferred Minimum three years experience in a professional kitchen Schedule: Full Time: Friday-Tuesday: 8am-4pm (earlier/later shift times for catering occasionally required) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour Physical Setting: Bar Casual dining restaurant Fast casual restaurant Shift: Day shift Morning shift Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Washington, DC 20036 (Required) Work Location: In person
